Unh and music!

I am *so* full. Hubs took me out for late Valentine's dinner after work. Chinese - my favorite! I'm now full of Chinese food, vanilla ice cream and Pepsi, hence the subject line: unnnnnnnnnnnnnnnhhhh.

There's a pretty cool dealie that I use at work that apparently my dial-up connection just can't handle: Radio@netscape. edit: it works here! It's tres cool, and nothing like streaming radio, in other words, no gaps. No gaps! I love it. There's like, a million and a half stations. There used to be a station programmed by NSync, but I think that one's on the premium service now, of course. Best of all, nothing to download to your computer. Woohoo!

I listened to a bunch of different things today. Bop (under Jazz), Urban Divas (*very* nice), Classical, One Hit Wonders, Pop, and a couple of selection for Black History Month.

Listened to part of Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech, and got all teary-eyed. They followed that with "We Shall Overcome" by the SNCC Freedom Singers.

I'm listening to a little Bop now, but I think I'll head over to...hmmm. Perhaps a little classical while I talk to my Dad. Oh! There's movie scores too! I listened to "The Quidditch Match" this afternoon, and friggin' *loved* it.

Music hath charms. :-)

Your constant mood list frustration amuses me, especially because I'm the same way. It turns out with the latest Semagic you can override mood labels and still display whatever icon you think is closest.

Not!streaming radio! Will have to give it a shot.

LOL! Words I think would be on any self-respecting list of moods aren't there! And I continue to be surprised by this!

That sounds interesting, and familiar. Hmmmm, I'll have to visit the LJ faq page, see what I can scare up.

You'll love it. Seriously...it's better than regular radio because no commercials! More than five songs in constant rotation! There are around 175 stations. I liked the idea of internet radio, but streaming stations just drive me up a wall. This is *fabulous*.
