Intestinal flu! Happy New Year!
Happy New Year LJ friends, and may it be a healthy and happy one for you and yours. :-)
I've been AWOL from the internet and fandom since Christmas Eve for various reasons, some fun, some not! The holidays were wonderful, full of visiting in-laws and dinner and stuff. Played Lord of the Rings on Playstation with my nephew and kicked his butt. Woohoo! I've still got it. ;-)
Friday we visited with the mother-in-law, went out to dinner and rented 'Chicago.' I love that movie! Even the husband loved it, which is incredibly high praise. Mya's in it, which I did not know. It's on our list of DVDs to purchase.
Saturday morning my hell began. I've never had stomach flu. I never, ever, *ever* want to experience that again. TMI alert: Exploding simultaneously from both ends is *not* my idea of a fun weekend. Saturday was horrific to say the least, Sunday a little less so. Had to work Monday and Tuesday, but by then the absolute worst of it had passed. Managed to remain mostly upright at my desk both days, then collapsed into bed as soon as I got home. I'm still not 100%, but I'm nearly there.
Since I've been living on noodles and soup and clear beverages, I've been having cravings like nobody's business. Steak soft tacos, apples, salad with beets, pepperoni pizza, chicken fried rice and egg rolls. MmmMmm, food! I'm hungry but cautious. I finally had a salad last night, and it was wonderful. No ill effects, so I think the worst of it has passed. Hallelujah! I hope. ::crosses fingers::
I haven't even begun to catch up with LJ. I think I'm at skip=20, a lovely place to catch
liz_w's ever-lovely pictures of JC. She's so talented and has such an amazing eye. My 2004 wish for Liz would be for an appointment as official photographer for JC's official tour. ::from my lips to God's ears::
And now I have comments to catch up on. And thanks to Yahoo!'s all spam, all the time policy, I've probably got an overflowing mailbox. If anything's bounced back, that's why. Bastiges.
Happy New Year!
JC!

Completely OT but necessary to post here because only two of you will care: I met the current social chair from my chapter (my chapter!) at the resort this week. Very, very odd/random/fun. Made me a bit nostalgic.

Thanks! Glad to be feeling better. :-) I feel like I need a t-shirt: "Stomach Flu 2003 Survivor"

That *is* random and odd! Probably boggled you as much as when I realized I had two 'bonds' on LJ! ;-)

And spam? I've been getting all sort of sorts normal looking messages, until you open one of them. Bastiges indeed.
