A wee Torchwood rant.
OH MY GOD, I HATE GWEN.
I like Torchwood but honestly, I don't know how much longer I can watch Gwen and her "I've only been in the job for three months, but OF COURSE I know better than the rest of you how this operation should be run." Hate her, absolutely.
Susie waves a dying father in Gwen's face -- keeping in mind that Gwen, for all intents and purposes doesn't know Susie -- and of course Gwen snatches Susie right out of the facility on a humanitarian mission. Yes! Susie killed three or four people, including Jack, and tried to kill me, but Oh noes! Her father's dying! Yes, I shall take her out of Torchwood so she can go see him! OH MY GOD, KILLKILLKILL.
And how many friggin' times did we have to hear that "Gwen's so much better than I am! Gwen's a real find! Gwen's fabulous!" OH MY GOD I HATE GWEN AND THIS ISN'T HELPING.
And oh my God, with the throwing around blame. It's your fault! It's my fault! We're both at fault! Hello, it's friggin' Susie's fault, folks. Jesus. You want some fault? Here you go. Because Gwen seems to think she's right just about all% of the time, Susie's dying father is now dead for realz.
OH MY GOD I HATE GWEN. HATE HER. I seriously hope that Martha's five guest episodes are so filled with awesome that she blows Gwen off the screen and Gwen is fired and I never have to hear her on her "we've to to do something!" soapbox again because they'll give her then amnesia drug and friggin' AWESOME DOCTOR MARTHA JONES WILL TAKE HER PLACE.
I hate Gwen. Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much. Thank you Russell T. Davies. I continue to hate you too. /bile

I might like Jack/Ianto if Ianto hadn't been so INSANELY STUPIDLY STUPID towards the beginning of the season and made me hate him pretty much right off. What does he do, anyway, besides make coffee and cry?
I am soooo hoping Martha fixes everything, because I reallllly want to like the show and Jack is wonderful. Gwen just needs to die. And Owen. I could live with Tosh and Ianto if Gwen and Owen were gone. =)

Was it the mess with his girlfriend or something else??? He was cute but pretty much invisible to me before that. If something else happened, poke me in the brain, woman. Jump-start my memory.

I have massive, massive Martha love. Massive. I can't wait to see her upcoming Whoverse appearances! ::squee!:: I'm not holding my breath, but I'd *love* it if Martha came back as the companion for S5 (in 2010, or something). In the meantime, a full-time gig on Torchwood S3 would be *great.*
