Life from the viewpoint of a weekend worker bee.

That's me! Weekend Worker Bee. I need a superhero outfit to go with that. Tights, cape, all of it. Woohoo!

Up at 4:50 to check stuff. Most things look good, but small piece of the puzzle still hasn't clicked into place. Dammit! Email off everyone who needs to know, and then do some surf-y type stuff. Logged back in to check a minute or so ago and woohoo! Evidently, I've made the proper sacrifices to the proper gods because email notification has been received and everything looks good. Now if tomorrow's bit goes smoothly, I'll be rolling in clover. /cryptic workplace blather

Lots of snow outside, and I'm not going *anywhere* today! Plans for dinner and a movie with the husband were put on hold because of the mini-blizzard yesterday evening. Well, that and the work emergency. But squee-hah! Maybe we'll order out tonight to make up for it. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm, Chinese. ::slurp::

JC continues to amaze me, even though I know that my baby is frighteningly talented. I think I smell critical success in his future, and I'm making further sacrifices to the gods that his album EXPLODES. Yes, that's my plan.

Fox remixes Fox!

I'm curious...has anyone ever remixed their own fic, using popslash characters, for instance, in a mediaslash story, and then presented it as such? Would it be a hoot, or an invitation to disaster?

I read some old things of mine this morning, getting my mind wrapped around words and how I use them, and realized that one story would lend itself quite nicely to "remixing." I know someone in another fandom who, just for fun, plugged the Muppets into one of her stories (Hercules!slash). The result was truly hilarious, of course.

And now back to The Story That Shall Surely Kill Me. ::sob::

!!! A few lines to go!

Aiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!! Yes! The third part may actually be done before midnight! I've *really* got to get a grip on my overuse of exclamation points.

Bwahahaha! I'm very happy about this. Now I've just got to punch these last few stubborn lines in the gut (Scotty - holla!) and I can send it on its way.

I *love* writing to Dave Matthews Band.

Yeehaw!

I'm ready to pass out but before I do, bwahahaha! Part three of the story has four parts. Three of those parts have now undergone final editing, and part three has just been shipped off for perusal by other eyes.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! It's a fine sort of madness that takes over, isn't it? This really should be an audio post because you all need to hear my hysterical laughter.

And now I sleep.
